Our 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon seems impenetrable in the glass, offering a dark, inky ruby color with an intriguing blend of berry and stone aromas. But the generous palate explodes with piles of red, blue and purple berries seasoned with a touch of licorice and chocolate – sweet, tart and succulent all at once. Aromatic violets and savory berry pastry notes pop in and linger through the extended finish. This structured wine has tremendous energy and intensity, which will continue to support it in the cellar for years to come.

This bottling presents the distinctive character of Napa Valley’s southern Coombsville AVA. The vines are meticulously hand-tended by Ignacio Delgadillo, Sr. The Coombsville vineyard is tucked along a small creek in rocky soils. The temperate conditions there promote a long growing season, creating grapes with rich aromatics and smooth tannins.
100% French oak; 60% new
Grapes were harvested in the cool early morning hours to ensure clusters arrived at the winery in perfect condition. After destemming, a whole-berry fermentation lasted 8 days. A gentle basket press separated wine from the skin cap, capturing nearly free run juice.
